Dear brothers and sisters, below is a short sharing by our sister in Christ. Hope that this will inspire you all = )
Hi everyone out there who is reading this,my name is Vivian.I'm here to share with you my personal experience with street evangelism. This is my first time going for street evangelism.well, through this experience,I've seen god's miracles working on non-believers and believers of Christ. I've seen that it's really a pity to not know God and i find that we are to really count this as a large blessing and a huge thing to give thanks on. Through this whole journey, from the beginning till the end, i have learnt that we need have faith and trust in Christ no matter how hard times are, we need to have a strong sense of responsibility to know what is our role at this time, good communication and understanding for one another within a group or as a pair, keeping an eye out for one another, must be understanding and sensitive for other religions as we do not want to condemn their religion, having to pluck up the courage to approach some one, patience and anger management, but most of all, we must pray to god for wisdom and guidance. Prayer power! Well, firstly we need god's guidance to watch over our tongues to not say the wrong thing, and we need wisdom on how to approach a certain person with patience and anger management. Then followed by need a to understand your partner so as to have good communication and to work better, we are to be more open minded and not to be too self directed in order to have the courage to approach other people and also to have a strong sense of responsibility to finish the whole work assigned to you. Most importantly we are not to pick/ choose to talk to whoever, in order to conquer this phobia, We are to think that they are all human, all god's children, all made out of flesh and blood. Having to do this we are also to present a heart of sincerity and joy, because we are doing this for god not for our personal motive and most importantly to save as many lives as we are given the chance to, we are not to expect for payback in this situation because that is what we are supposed to do. My views are that, when you are to spread the gospel, you are to spread it with joy and sincerity, u have to meditate god's words day and night, and most importantly to pray to god for guidance and then to have faith and trust in the lord and in whatever you do, PUT GOD FIRST=) I hope that they will organise more of these evangelistic events as more of us will be able to save more life. - testimony posted on behalf of Vivian Tan 1735 committee 1735 posted at 3:08 AM |
